Surfer pulled from ocean dies at La Jolla hospital (San Diego Union-Tribune)

A surfer who was rescued by San Diego lifeguards last night died at a hospital, authorities said. The man, a 50-year-old La Jolla resident, apparently suffered some type of medical trauma while in the ocean, authorities said. He was identified by a hospital spokeswoman as William J. Ryan. More>>
